The company was the first to have been established among the many subsidiaries of RMR Capital Inc.

Incorporated on September 8, 1988, R-II Builders had thus been the mother firm of the R-II Group until RMR Capital Inc. was formed on June 23,2021 to assume that role, now being the holding company and investment arm of the entire conglomerate.

Nonetheless, R-II Builders remains the flagship company of RMR Capital Inc. with its multibillion worth of project accomplishments, enormous capitalization, and Quadruple A classification by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.

Such accomplishments, among others, helped strengthen the foundation and integrity of the country’s real estate industry vis-à-vis the banking system, and enabled the Philippines to withstand the impact of the US subprime mortgage crisis that began in 2005 and culminated in the American financial meltdown and global contagion in 2008.
